Within minutes of being in Form SE15 I got the sense that it is more than just a clothes shop. There are the obvious visual indicators, like the lifestyle nook at the back, selling everything from cards to hip-hop cushions. But it was peoples sunny disposition when popping their heads in to bid Jo good morning on an otherwise grey Tuesday, that was the real giveaway. This is a shop that is part of the community and the sense of relief that they’re open after such a turbulent year is palpable. As I’m stood amidst the lovingly picked garms and accessories, there’s an unmistakable and contagious sense of optimism in the air.
Form SE15 is what happens when a respect for design, love for fashion and devotion to your stomping ground come together. And Jo is the one-woman-band behind it all. She prides herself on selling brands she has strong beliefs in, “…thoughtful making processes and sustainability are key to bring you confidence in your purchases from us”. And boy did I feel confident! Everything I tried on felt established. If the materials and shapes were a character from Sex and the City, they’d be Samantha – assured and accomplished. These are the kinds of garms that help you feel comfortable in your own skin.
